Champions League and Europa League Quarter Final and Semi Final Draw
So, where do I start?
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE:
1. Arsenal vs Barcelona

This should be a good one. Barcelona are unbeatable on their day, but the opposition they are about to face enjoy smashing in four or five past their rivals. Their playing styles are similar and both the matches should be interesting.
The Camp Nou and the Emirates are both fortresses. The winner of this draw is close to impossible to predict.
2. Bayern Munich vs Manchester United
1999 is what pops up into one's head when these two sides are considered. The last time these sides met was in a friendly, which Bayern won. In 2001, Bayern beat the Red Devils 3-1 on aggregate and went on to win the competition for the last time in their history. Sir Alex Ferguson must have been satisfied with the draw, but not too satisfied to see which tactician he has to set his tactics against.
Bayern are not playing well currently and United should beat them. If Bayern do play to their full strengths and manage to improve their defence, there might be a victory for the underdogs.
3. Lyon vs Bordeaux
It is not guaranteed whether an English, German, Italian or Spanish side will be in the semis. It is, however, guaranteed that a French side will be there. Bordeaux are the current holders of the French league. They stopped Lyon's seven year reign at the top of the French league. Will Lyon take over as France's number one again? This tie should excite all French fans.
4. Inter Milan vs CSKA Moscow
This will simply be a battle of wits. Jose Mourinho's intelligence will certainly be put into use if Inter is to defeat a very talented and battle prepared CSKA side. Again, it is very hard to predict a winner for this tie.
EUROPA LEAGUE:
1. Hamburger SV vs Standard Liege
Hamburg will face another Belgian side after knocking out RSC Anderlecht 6-5 on aggregate. Liege made light work of Panathinaikos. Hamburg will want to reach the final as it is going to be hosted in the HSH Nordbank Arena, Hamburg's stadium. Liege will be hoping that their trip to Hamburg won't be the first.
2. Fulham vs Wolfsburg
This is perhaps the best match up of the round.
Two plucky sides will try to attack and shut each other down. Wolfsburg managed to scrape past Rubin thanks to Christian Gentner while Fulham absolutely thrashed Juventus in London to set up the quarter final clash against Die Wolfe.
3. Valencia vs Atletico Madrid
The last match that these two sides played ended in an early red for Carlos Marchena and a 4-1 drubbing of Valencia. There were a few groans according to the UEFA website when these two sides were drawn against each other.
This is an extremely difficult match to predict. Both Valencia (5-5 against Werder on aggregate) and Atletico (2-2 against Sporting) made it through to this stage due to the away goals rule.
4. Liverpool vs Benfica
Liverpool will perhaps be playing the most in-form side in the Europa League this season. Benfica advanced via a last minute goal against Marseille and Liverpool advanced, 3-1 on aggregate against LOSC Lille Metropole.
The match marked the return of Fernando Torres' European goals as he struck two of the three goals scored in Anfield last night.
SEMI FINAL DRAW:
Champions League
1. Bayern/United vs Bordeaux/Lyon
2. Barcelona/Arsenal vs Inter/CSKA
Europa League:
1. Hamburg/Standard vs Wolfsburg/Fulham
2. Atletico/Valencia vs Liverpool/Benfica
And just as a side note, the home team in the final in Madrid of the Champions League will be the winners of Semi Final One. This means that Barcelona won't be the home team as a result in their "native" Spain.
Lyon have the chance to complete a unique double. Their women's side is through to the semifinals of the UEFA Women's Champions League. The final will be played in Getafe, two days before the men's final. If both the Lyon sides make it to the final, the achievement will be a notable one in football.
