2010 NCAA Tournament Mascot Showdown: East Second Round

(1) Kentucky Wildcats vs. (9) Wake Forest Demon Deacons

The Wildcats managed to get away from the Buccaneers in round one, but the mix of heaven and hell that a Demon Deacon has can cause hell for the Wildcats.

The first upset of the second round happens with the Demon Deacons taking it.

(12) Cornell Big Red vs. (4) Wisconsin Badgers

The Big Red, led by Clifford the Big Red Dog, made it through to face the Badgers.

This is a toss-up depending on if you like rodents or Big Red gum.

(6) Marquette Golden Eagles vs. (14) Montana Grizzlies

The Golden Eagles snuck in over the Huskies because of a Snow Dogs reference.

The Grizzlies tore apart the Lobos, and if they can catch the eagles, a Sweet 16 spot is in their future.

Eagles can fly; therefore grizzlies cannot catch them.

(10) Missouri Tigers vs. (2) West Virginia Mountaineers

Missouri got into the second round by a color tiebreaker over fellow Tiger team Clemson.

The Mountaineers killed the Bears in round one, so why can't they kill the tigers in this round?

A Mountaineer can hunt down a tiger if it can hunt down a bear, so a warning to the rest of the bracket: The Mountaineers can hunt you down.
