The Butler Bulldogs are determined to make some noise in the Big Dance this year. This is a veteran group with all 5 starters back from last year’s team that suffered a first-round exit. Butler enters this game with the nation’s longest winning streak at 20 games. Butler went 28-4 this season and they didn’t do all of their damage in the Horizon League. The Bulldogs stepped out of conference and beat Ohio State and Xavier earlier this season, two teams that are seeded highly in the NCAA Tournament. Butler is one of the best defensive teams in the country, giving up just 60.0 PPG and 41.4% shooting. Their defense, along with their experience, gives the Bulldogs a huge edge over UTEP in my opinion.
