Will Gerrard Be a Part Of Mourinho's "Victory Of Life" in England ?
As Lady Rumour has it and also the Sunday tabloids around England, Inter Milan are still in some way not completely weighing out the possibility of considering a bid for "Mr.Liverpool" Steven Gerrard. The latest reports say that even Real Madrid seem interested in a move for the England international, but then this rumour has been around for about five years or more and has come down to nothing.
The following is however an option much more probable if certain things falls to place.
Jose Mourinho has been GRAND. HE COMES, HE SEES, HE CONQUERS. Right from coaching Benfica to Porto in his native land, Mourinho has almost never faced a completely unsuccessful season. After pulling off what many would consider as an impossible feat for any coach not gifted with riches from owners or world beaters in the squad, not only did Mourinho take Porto past Manchester United in the Champions League, They also won the Best of Europe Tag. (second to only Guus Hiddink's S.Korea feat, even though it wasn't club football and thus tougher for Guus ).After that whatever has occured in England and Italy is history.
Very recently, Mourinho was suspected with unfair play charges as a coach of Inter Milan, infamous and decietful is something Mouriho has never been, but after imposition of such charges, Mourinho was heard openly stating in press that he was deeply hurt by such reports.
Rumours of him buying out his contract at Inter which extend to the end of next year (2010-11) surfaced.Somethng that Mourinho occasinally denies, but keeps referring to England as his Dream destination to work for.

Even after last night's famous feat of beating Chelsea by outplaying them at Stamford bridge,Mourinho said this :
" It's a very important victory for me as a coach, but not the victory of my life. That will be in the future." It's a very important victory for me as a coach, but not the victory of my life. That will be in the future."
Going by the English Legend Gary linekar "Mourinho could either join Manchester City or Liverpool"..
If the later occurs , then Mourinho will almost surely have Gerrard to play for him as he seemingly is interested in.
However, being perfectly knowledgeable about the prevailing condition in England, people would bet that if City didn't make the Top four, That should be "end of days" for Mancini at his present job. Jose, therefore, being a favorite to join there, with all the riches and luxuries City can afford.
Somewhere however, I belive if investments come in as reported from the half a dozen investors interested at Liverpool fc, given his preference Liverpool should be his priority.
When Jose went to Chelsea, he still had something to prove, however huge his stature was.Chelsea frankly was never a club it is now and was at best a mid-table club. When Jose left Chelsea, a world had changed for them, though ironically much hasn't improved hence.
So therfore Mourinho would like to do things at a Bigger Club now in England, a platform where he could still be a legend, a move from Inter to city however seems a move backward. Not unfeasible but certainly not something that should be first on his list.
Where does all these leave RAFA Benitez who is trying to build a team out of sheer grit and unparalleled determination to succeed as a club in Europe.
As I said the present financial condition of the club must significantly improve for Jose to come to the Red part of Merseyside. Moreover, reports suggest that any new investment in Liverpool may cliam a majority stake and significantly reduce the present owner's stake in the club. This will prompt the new investors to make decisions which they deem favorable and if Liverpool fail to make the Top four (or maybe even next season if RAFA fails again, and by then Mourinho's term also would near its end, however in present context too), Rafa may as well be given the axe, even though it might seem a myopic move. Rafa however, would be hurt but with Real and Juve looking out for him, He shouldn't be sorry for long.
However distant a possibility it seems as of now, but you never know ?
