JR Motorsports' PR director Mike Davis announced via Twitter that JR Motorsports will try to run the No. 7 car for the full season along with the No. 88, which started the year unsure of full sponsorship.

"The No. 7 car [is] too good not to be at the track," Crew Chief Tony Jr. said, according to Davis' Twitter. "Our goal has always been to have two full-time teams competing every week. Our sponsorship situation w/#88 has shown significant progress & hopefully we'll have announcements soon. We'll work just as hard to get the No. 7 full funded."

Scott Wimmer will be driving the No. 7 at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend and at Nashville Speedway with Danica Patrick driving the car in the races as per scheduled already.

More announcements are to come in the future with regards to who will be driving the other races and the sponsors that they have lined up.
