2010 College Basketball Invitational: A Complete Look at the CBI Bracket
The annual College Basketball Invitation, created by the Gazelle Group, does not have the prestige or opportunity of the NCAA Tournament. The CBI cannot even match the NIT in name recognition. However, for teams not worthy of an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament and for those still excluded from the NIT the CBI continues postseason play for a select 16 teams.
The third annual College Basketball Invitational tips off March 16th with the opening two rounds decided by Wednesday night. The quarterfinals continue on March 22 with the semifinals to follow on March 24. The unique element of the CBI is its three-game championship round which will be played March 29, March 31 and April 2.
