Free NBA Pick: Utah vs. Oklahoma City Under 204 (Jeff Alexander)
Both of these teams have played to the Over quite often lately, but it’s been a defensive battle whenever they get together. As a result, the Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Oklahoma City and 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall. A big key here is how dominant Utah is on the glass. OKC is 16-6 Under versus good rebounding teams outrebounding opponents by 3+ per game over the last 2 seasons, and we are only seeing 190.6 points on average in these spots. The Jazz just don’t allow that many second chance points. The Under is 5-1 in the Jazz’s last 6 games as a road underdog of 4.5 or fewer points and 6-2 in the Thunder’s last 8 games as a home favorite of 4.5 or less. We’ll take the Under.
Free NBA Pick: Indiana +9.5 (Big Al McMordie)
At 1:05 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Indiana Pacers + the points over Milwaukee. Sure, the Bucks are the hottest team in the league, having won 11 of 12, and covering 10 straight (with 2 pushes). But Indiana is still playing competitive ball (it has covered six of its last 10), and is a solid 281-231 revenging a loss since 1996 (the Pacers lost by 2 to Milwaukee on Feb 25). With the Bucks being an historically poor team at home off 3 or more wins (15-31 ATS since 1996), we’ll fade Milwaukee here, and grab the large number of points with Indiana. Good luck, as always…Big Al McMordie.
