Finally March Madness is here!  It’s time to fill out your brackets and try your luck at the numerous contests and office pools that you will enter as we head to tip off of March Madness! I have all the brackets covered with picks, previews, and that upset special that will get you the edge when filling out your bracket!  I also will showcase some of the best contests to enter to win big bucks and enjoy March Madness! First Round:

#1 Syracuse takes on #16 Vermont—not only has Syracuse played horribly of late but the #16 seed never wins advantage to Syracuse.  They move ahead to the next round.

#2 Kansas St faces #15 North Texas—if there is going to be an upset where the #2 seed falls this could be it. Kansas St. has been in a slump down the stretch and will have to give a full effort to beat North Texas. They do (barely) and advance.

#3 Pittsburgh takes on # 14 Oakland—Pittsburgh is a deadly team because they were never predicted to do very well and they have used that for motivation all year long. Oakland is an easy target and Pittsburgh advances.

#4 Vanderbilt takes on Murray St—with all due respect to the racers this team from Vanderbilt is a team that can be in the elite eight if the buckets fall right. They may struggle early but look for a big win by the Commodores.

#5 Butler takes on #12 UTEP—here it is again another dangerous 12 seed that has the potential to beat a five seed. UTEP will not only beat the #5 seed in Butler but they have a chance to go even deeper with the physical play if they can execute.

#6 Xavier plays against #11 Minnesota—Minnesota played well in the Big Ten tournament before they were trounced by Ohio St.  They had an emotional win by getting the call to the big dance but the road ends here as Xavier is the better team and the will advance.

#7BYU plays against #10 Florida—Florida floundered down the stretch and it was a shocking surprise too many to see that they were a ten seed in the tournament.  The bad news is BYU will thrive against Florida and have a history of getting kicked out early that will motivate them to win this game. BYU presses on.

#8 Gonzaga takes on the #9 Seminoles of Florida St—Gonzaga is flat because they should have own their conference tournament and instead they lost and now have to play on the East coast in the first round. Florida St will take advantage of a flat team and win this game.

Second Round:

#1 Syracuse plays #9 Florida St—the Seminoles make this a close game and if you have Syracuse to win the national championship then this game will scare you, but in the end Syracuse wins in a close on and advances.

#4 Vanderbilt plays #12 UTEP—this bracket will get complicated and if you’re going to have a bracket that falls apart this one is it as all of the teams are tough. However with that being said I think the play here is Vanderbilt as they have the edge over UTEp and get to the next round.

#3 Pittsburgh plays #6 Xavier—circle your calendar this could be one of the best games of the tournament.  Pittsburgh is a good team but they have been playing well above the playing field and they will not go deep in this field. Xavier gets the win and moves on with a big (but close) win over Pittsburgh.

#2 Kansas St takes on #7 BYU—BYU is the best team that you may not know about and the reason is because they play in the Mountain West conference. This is an experienced team and they can compete with Kansas St and upset the 2 seed to advance.

The four teams that advance from the South bracket to the sweet sixteen will be BYU, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, and Xavier.

The upsets are a part of March Madness and in order to win you have to try and grab as many as possible. In the long run the brackets are up for grabs when it comes to March Madness!
