Florida Gators Slip into 2010 NCAA Tournament Bracket
Put away the home whites! Dan Werner's last home game really was on Senior Night! No more NIT! The Gators are in! Thank you God! Thank You! That's the only explanation I can come up with. The Gators are going to the Big Dance!
Mississippi State was flat out robbed. In what has to be one of the worst snubs in NCAA history, Mississippi State is off to the NIT. That is a joke. Did the committee watch any of the SEC Tournament? They must've. They gave Kentucky a #1 seed. Can you not find a spot for the team that had them beat?

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Mississippi State should be in this tournament. Period. They should be in over Florida. There I said it. That's right. We should not be in if they can't find a spot for MSU. This weekend MSU in three days beat Florida (a tournament team), Vanderbilt (a tournament team) and for 39:59.9 Kentucky (a number one seed). You can't find a spot for them? Really?
But for Florida, it's the end of three long seasons of being on the bubble. Chandler Parsons, Alex Tyus, Dan Werner, and Erving Walker will all finally get to play in the NCAA Tournament. I'm really happy for those guys. I hope now they can make a run. But if not, what a thrill!
I'm more thrilled for this team than any of the previous Billy Donovan teams for getting into the Dance. It was not just a long year getting there. It was a long three years.
It was following a team that was one of the greatest to ever lace up the high tops. It was three late seasons on the bubble. It was three late season collapses. It was three quick outs in the SEC Tournament. It was two Selection Sunday Shows of watching your team getting passed over while watching other teams no more deserving get in.
Today, we finally catch a break. And what a break it was! Demarcus Cousins tip in at the buzzer sent us to the NCAA Tournament. It was THAT CLOSE!
No more off seasons wondering if we can finally get back in the Tournament. No more wondering how long before Billy Donovan will start to feel some heat on his backside. It's all over now. Now we can get back to business. Now the Gators can go recruit the big boys and tell them that yes, you can come here and play in the Tournament. Happy Days are here again!
