A pair of teams that already know that they’re in the NCAA Tournament will crack skulls in a Big East betting affair on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden where the red hot Georgetown Hoyas (23-9, 16-12 ATS) will face the West Virginia Mountaineers (26-6, 13-18 ATS). Georgetown has played three games in as many days, each of which seems to get more and more impressive. The Hoya Destroya took out South Florida by 20 and Syracuse by a touchdown before absolutely crippling Marquette last night. West Virginia has already sent Cincinnati (54-51) and Notre Dame (53-51) packing in two slugfest college basketball betting wars.

The Hoyas have gotten everything they ever could’ve asked for out of C Greg Monroe in this tournament. The big man in the middle has scored 54 points and brought down 30 boards over the L/3 days, but he has also shown some touch by dishing out 16 assists. This team isn’t overly deep though. Georgetown has the lowest scoring bench in the entire country, which could ultimately come back to cost it in the finale. Still, the Hoyas shoot nearly 50 percent from the field as a team, which makes them one of the best shooting squads in the land.

F Da’Sean Butler is the heart and soul of this Mountaineers team. Even though his team has had a miserable time trying to score points in this tournament, he hasn’t skipped a beat, putting up 39 points in two NCAA basketball wagering battles. He’s the team’s top scorer at 17.2 points per game, and he’ll need to be on top of his game for the Mounties to beat the Hoyas. These two poor offensive efforts are very uncharacteristic for a team which is averaging 74.0 points per game. WVU went +15 on the glass against Notre Dame on Friday night, which only extended its average rebounding advantage to 5.9 boards per game.

The Mountaineers have won the L/2 clashes between these conference rivals both SU and ATS, winning 81-68 at home this year, and 75-58 at the Verizon Center last January. However, the Hoyas had won and covered the three previous contests, including a 72-55 win in last year’s Big East Tournament.
