The final college basketball betting affair of the regular season tips off on Sunday afternoon at Conseco Fieldhouse, where the Minnesota Golden Gophers (21-12, 17-15 ATS) will face the Ohio State Buckeyes (26-7, 16-17 ATS). There are plenty of teams that will be watching this game intently on Sunday, as Minnesota is going to have a chance to take itself off the bubble and firmly into the field with the Big Ten’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. A loss may send it to the NIT. The Buckeyes may also be playing for a #1 seed, especially if the Blue Devils lose to the Yellow Jackets earlier in the day. The Golden Gophers dismissed Penn State (76-55), Michigan State (72-67), and Purdue (69-42) from the Big Ten Tournament already this year, while Ohio State has taken out Michigan (69-68) and Illinois (88-81) on last minute heroics in each game.

It didn’t get much better than Saturday for the Golden Gophers. Thanks to the impressiveness of the win against Purdue, they might have already done enough to get into the NCAA Tournament. The Boilermakers shot just 27.6% from the field and 44.4% from the foul line in the defeat. Minnesota dominated the NCAA basketball wagering war on the glass 45-20. Five Gophers had at least five rebounds.

It’s the F Evan Turner show in Columbus right now. The top scorer for the Buckeyes at 20.0 points per game, Turner has had two fantastic games in Indianapolis. He scored 18 points, including the game-winning three point shot on Friday, and he came back on Saturday and played 49 of the possible 50 minutes in the double OT win over the Illini, scoring 31 points and bringing down ten boards. Not only do the Buckeyes play efficient offense, shooting the ball at 49.4% for the season, but they also hold opposing teams to just 61.2 points per game.

These two teams split the season series with the Buckeyes winning 85-63 in Columbus and the Gophers winning 73-62 in Minneapolis. Ohio State has gone 6-3 ATS in its L/9 basketball betting battles against Minnesota.
