Anderson Silva Would Get Asskicked Against Shogun Rua

Anderson " the spider" Silva is the middleweight Champion in UFC and fought a light heavyweight Forrest Griffin and showed the world that he can fight against light Heavyweights.

Against his friend Lyoto Machida he doesnt want to fight. So what would be when Marcio Shogun Rua beat Machida?

A fight between  Shogun vs Anderson silva is possible because the UFC middleweights are not good enough and the weight class with Anderson Silva is boring for him. So he can go and fight the possible new light heavyweight Champion Shogun Rua.

Who would win in this fight.

First I have to mention that Silva vs Shogun would a spectacular fight and would be great for the sport of mma.

Strong and weakness sides of the fighters:

1. Anderson Silva

He is fast has a great stand up game. His boxing is good and he is also a blackbelt in BJJ.

But his submission defense is worse. He has not very strong legs so he can not stand great lowkicks with this legs. His ground game defense is not such good therefore he lost four times in Japan.

2. Shogun Rua

A very talented young fighter with great experience. After his great Pride GP time he had injuries and a difficult transition to the cage from Ring. In the Ring with Pride rules he was definitive stronger and dangerous. But he adapted in the cage and is know good in cage fighting, too.

Before the Machida fight I wrote on youtube comments that Shogun will beat Machida because every time a good Muay Thai fighter fights a good Karate Fighter the Muay Thai man wins because his low kicks are much more dangerous for the karate fighter as side kicks from the karateka for the Muay Thai fighter.

And Shogun was better because he was  fast and has very effective lowkicks.

In the fight against Anderson Silva Shogun would has the dangerous  and better low kicks. Anderson Silva has the better boxing but with his low kicks and his ground and pound and his harder punch and knock out and finishing qualities and his quick submission attempts and his stronger physical Shogun would beat Anderson Silva clearly.

Resume: It would be great fight from two fast and very skilled fighters but Shogun can hit harder, his muay thai specially his low kicks are much effective and dangerously than that from Anderson Silva. And on the ground with the stronger physical body and his good submission and ground and pound game Shogun would submitted or knock him out.
