Has Big Show Passed Andre as WWE's Greatest Giant?
I grew up in the 80's watching wrestling, and there are always two names that stand out to any 80's wrestling fan: Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant.
Andre was a one of a kind performer. The larger than life wrestler was loved inside and outside the ring by fans and fellow wrestlers alike. Despite being only a one-time world champion, he is regarded as one of the all-time greats.
Unfortunately, he had a condition that led to his physical limitations and eventual death.

Ranking The New Day's Best WWE Moments
Andre was taken from us too soon, but he left a legacy in wrestling that will never be forgotten.
Since then, several men of larger proportions have made their claim to be the best giant in the business. But has anyone come close?
Kevin Nash led the New Generation of WWE, before becoming an outsider in the NWO. He is a six-time former world champion and was rated PWI's No. 1 wrestler in their annual 500 rankings in 1995, along with the match of the year against Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania.
Psycho Sid is four-time world champion and has made his mark in NWA, WWE, and WCW over his lengthy career. While Sid has been absent from TV for a long time, he is still regarded as a great performer at his peak.
Giant Gonzalez was a man of larger than life proportions, but never lived up to the WWE's expectations.
Matt Morgan claims to be the best Giant in the business, but he is blander than plain bread to listen to.
Big Show is the only one who even comes close to Andre. He has been wrestling for over 12 years and is now a four-time world champion. Big Show has been at the top of both WCW and WWE, and when WWE introduced the new ECW, he took that championship too.
Andre may have been slammed at Wrestlemania III by Hogan in a ground-breaking moment, but Big Show was superplexed by Brock Lesnar in a move that literally broke the ground beneath them.
Show being superplexed is one of the most memorable moments in all of Smackdown. Maybe even in all of wrestling.
Big Show debuted in WCW as The Giant at Bash at the Beach, where he confronted Hogan wearing a shirt simliar to the one worn by Andre in The Princess Bride. The Giant went on to dominate WCW for much of his time there.
I remember seeing a video of Show doing a moonsault while training at WCW's powerplant facility. He was a seven-foot giant doing a moonsault. Who would have thought it was possible?
I know that there are people who will never accept a better giant than Andre, but I am not one of those people. I believe in progress, and I have seen the growth in Big Show over the years as a performer.
Andre will never be replicated, but I truly believe Show is on a level all his own when it comes to Giant wrestlers.
What do you think?
