Wayne Rooney: Is He The Best In The World

Commentators are finding it difficult to describe the current form and performances that this young man is in. In previous seasons his been the supplier to Cristiano but since his departure, Rooney has become one of the most feared strikers on the world stage.

With 30 goals already to his name thus far, a goal tally that's above any other in the top European leagues. With still many games left to be played in both the domestic league and in the Champions League, there is still room for more.

Can he strike the forty goal mark, only time will tell. But focusing on the past couple months, Wayne has enjoyed remarkable success both in club and national colours.

With the Fifa World Cup just round the corner, Rooney is looking to topple all the individual records that was set by Cristiano just last year.

Many questioned Sir Alex for not bringing new stars to Old Trafford, but decision resulted in Wayne stepping up his game and delighting fans across the World.

So the question is, Is he the best in the World?

Well currently and in terms of his performances this season, with out a doubt he out shines Ronaldo or Messi...

Ronaldo has made his mark in Spain with 20+ goals already, but having been knocked out of Europe and the domestic cup, it will just be the La Liga that he'll be focusing on.

As for Messi, his had an up and down season, with some great performance and some not so great performances. The young Argentian has failed to provide the same substance for his country as he does for his club.

Also looking at both Messi and Ronaldo, they don't contribute as much to the team in terms of defensive ability as Rooney does. Rooney is a worker, his prepared to chase after the ball.

His passion and enthusiam is what makes him different and what pushes him for more. Wayne has showed controlled aggression which is required if you want to win trophies.
