Arsenal Are Going to Win The Champions League- Want To Know Why?
Taoistic titles aside (that should probably read Taoist, but I think that little ICK adds something special) there really is very little to talk about in the World of Arsenal football today.
I suppose some news which is indirectly related to Arsenal, or more appropriately, could become directly related to Arsenal are the two teams who went through in the Champions League last night.
Man U v. AC Milan
Of course Man United spanked Italy and A.C. Milan because A.C. are old and very old. They also don´t have very many good players, and could be the slowest team in the World.
Anyway, Rooney hit his 30th goal of the season last night, and that´s quite amazing. Fair play to the lad—4 - 0 nil in the Theatre of Dreams and our hopes of playing the Pensioners are crushed.
Real Madrid v. Lyon
Thus far the only real surprise of the competition, although I really thought despite missing their best player due to another doping ban (idiot) Fiorentina could pull it out of the bag against Bayern and subsequently win me a tasty 100 euro.
I have a bet that Arsenal will go further in the CL than Bayern this season—now I´m hoping to get another easy draw.
Madrid were winning due to ANOTHER Cristiano Ronaldo goal, but without scoring three they were always risking getting knocked out by a sneaky away goal. They didn´t score three.
Lyon scored in the 70 or so minute and the folks in Valencia were laughing.
The Great White Machine aren´t the most popular down here, and with good reason I´ve never been to a country where one team has been shoved down my throat so much, and I´ve been to England and seeing the mediahog that is United.
Oh my God.
Real Madrid are the first 20 pages of every Sports newspaper everyday AND they talk about less than I do in my blog.
Can you believe that?
So now Lyon are through. Right now we could potentially draw Bayern, Man United, and the Olympians from Lyon. Wenger says he´d like to get English competition, or rather he wouldn´t mind English competition, to make up for our past failings against them this season.
Forget that. I want my 100 euro, and I want to win the final by playing Porto, Olympiakos, Stuggart meeting Lyon in the final. In all seriousness though, I think we´ve got a good shot against anyone, but I would really fancy us to get through against Bayern or Lyon.
Although did you see Boumsong last night?
Is that the same Boumsong that played for Newcastle and Rangers. He is AMAZING.
What happened?
I remember the only cool about him being that his boots were so big he needed an extra row of studs.
I dunno. But we if start talking about studs now then you can really throw Taoistic titles out the window. We are ACTUALLY talking about less than nothing.
