Tommy Haas of Germany has been ruled out of the tour for a few months after suffering with a hip injury. This development is a huge blow to Tommy Haas who enjoyed a very good season in 2009. Haas reached the 4th round of the French Open and was 2 sets to love up on Roger Federer before Federer hit back to win in 5 sets, Federer went on to win the title. Haas backed up his form at the French Open by reaching the Semi Final at Wimbledon for the 1st time in his career, beating the World Number 3 Novak Djokovic along the way. Haas was beaten in the last 4 by the world number 1 Federer, Federer went on to win the Wimbledon title for the 6th time in his career when he defeated Andy Roddick 16-14 in the 5th set of an epic encounter. German fans will hope that Tommy Haas can return to the tour soon.
