Weekend Recap: 2/26/10 – 3/6/10

Here is a recap of the past week at Bronx Baseball Daily:

• There are about four or five outfielders in the running for starting jobs with the Yankees this season, but there are quite a few other outfielders in camp. Here is a ranking of the rest. Ever since I have written it, I’ve questioned myself about their order. Should Jon Weber have been ranked so low? What do you think? Was I right or wrong?
• One of the potential targets for the Yankees on next year’s free agent market is Carl Crawford. Another blogger questioned his makeup and I shot him down.
• We knew that outfielder and Rule 5 pick Jamie Hoffmann has to make the Yankees or be offered back to the Dodgers, but we didn’t know that Marcus Thames can opt-out if he doesn’t make the squad.
• We ran through 10 potential problems the Yankees could face this season.
• When Chan Ho Park was officially made a Yankee they DFA’d Edwar Ramirez to make room for him.
• The Yankees roster is nearly set, but there are will be five spots up for grabs that players will be battling for.
• The Yankees took a team trip to the arcade. Here are the pictures.
• We reviewed both MLB 2K10 and MLB: The Show.
• Spring training stats lie. Apparently there are still people who need to be reminded of that.
• Expect Nick Johnson to bat second.
