A New Ad Campaign for Full Tilt Poker
I should sue Full Tilt Poker for false advertising.
That was my thought after going through three straight days of horrendously bad beats.
Whether it's having pocket aces and losing to some dude that caught an eight on the river or losing with pocket kings because someone went runner-runner jacks, the amount of donk moves on that site never ceases to amaze me.
I know I'm sounding like Phil Hellmuth here, but, I'm pretty angry. You could raise someone all-in with pocket rockets and they'll still play you with 7-2 off-suit. Yet they'll catch their flush to a two because, well, them's the breaks.
Fact is, there's no real strategy to playing poker online. In person strategy comes into play because you have to read your opponents' faces—every little tick, emotion, or anything they let out, you try to capitalize on.
Not the same online. The other problem with online poker is the fact that it's easier to cheat than anywhere. That's the only way I can describe the bozos that suck out. Either that or Full Tilt rewards stupidity.
Since I could be sued for libel for saying Full Tilt has flaws and people could cheat on it, I'm going with the "Full Tilt Poker Rewards Stupidity" argument. In fact, Full Tilt's ad should emphasize this.
We play for the donks that suck out. For the bad beats that just shouldn't happen. For the idiots that raise with anything. For the euro trash that constitutes the majority of the stupidity.
For the pocket kings that you just can't fold because no one has an ace, yet someone catches their two on the river. For the flush draws that hit, the straight draws that don't, and the fact that pocket aces aren't good enough because somehow someone with 7-3 catches their threes on the turn and river to go with their seven on the flop. And the 7-3 is off-suit. And you bet hard pre-flop.
We play because we saw it on TV one day and it looked cool. We play because we're stupid. We play Full Tilt.
Full Tilt Poker: Stupidity isn't only welcomed, it's encouraged.
Sound like Full Tilt to you? Have any horrendous bad beats on that site? Comment about it.
Thomas Galicia just sucked out on Full Tilt Poker by hitting his four on the river against pocket queens. He can be found on Full Tilt Poker under the name MCIntellect305. He can be found on Twitter under the name 305sportsdude. Leave a comment here or on his B/R board.
