Mavs Streaking, Closing In On The Lakers
The Dallas Mavericks have won 10 in a row, for the first time since 2007 season, during the franchise high 17-game win streak. Kidd 36, nearing 37 has been outstanding since the all star break. Averaging a double, double, including a monster triple double against Atlanta, which they won.
Dirk's playing like the MVP, scoring, rebounding, and some assists as well. The "Jet" playing like the 6th man of the year he was last year. Though if he wants to win, he'll have to hurry from his injury, which he got into his face from Corey Brewer's elbow, he'll be out for nearly 2 weeks.
Caron Butler has been what the mavs needed, a tough, versatile, scorer. Same goes with Haywood and Stevenson, Haywood was the key to the deal, he's averaging a double double in this season, he also matches up with the bigs like Nene and Bynum. Stevenson has been a nice spark to this Mavs team, he's been guarding all the opponents top players, such as Kobe Bryant, Joe Johnson, Vince Carter.
And how about the rookie Roddy Beabouis, 17 the other night, when kidd rested against Minnesota and 22 against Sac-town in an hard-fought,Carlisle Ejection victory.
The Mavericks currently sitting at the 2 spot, half game ahead of the Nuggets. The Jazz on the their heels as well sitting at 4. The Lakers are 46-17,losers of 2 straight. While the Mavs are gaining ground on them 42-21, same with Nuggets, 41-21. And the Mavs have the 2nd easy type schedule, how easy, i'll show you, in the next week, the Mavs play:
