Mark Martin Fastest In Happy Hour @ Atlanta Motor Speedway

Mark Martin was fastest in Nascar Sprint Cup Series Happy Hour from Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA. Martin was second to Jimmie Johnson in the first practice this morning and was able to knock off a 29.88 @ 185.524 mph to take the top spot in Happy Hour final practice for Sunday's Kobalt Tools 500. Dale Earnhardt Jr the pole sitter starts second looking for that first win since June 2008 at Michigan International Speedway. Martin Truex Jr had a great run in the 56 Napa Toyota in third, Paul Menard and David Ragan were the top 5 in the last practice. Greg Biffle got into the wall off turn 4 and will have to go to a backup car for Sunday so he will start in the rear after qualifying 13th for Sunday. Kyle Busch and Boris Said got together off turn 2 in the closing minutes of practice but both had slight damage and will remain in the same starting spots going into Sunday's race. Jimmie Johnson who looks for 3 wins in a row at Atlanta this weekend was fastest in the morning practice but was only 16th the same spot they will start tomorrow.

Denny Hamlin was 18th the highest Gibbs car in that final practice and the Roush Fenway cars were near midpack as Matt Kenseth was 24th.

Kevin Harvick was 40th they did'nt have a real good car so far this weekend from practice to qualifying.

Jeff Gordon who dominated last week at Vegas was 25th.

Tune into Fox Sunday for the Kobalt Tools 500 at noon Sunday.
