Davis and Brand May Have Written Their First Script

If it's true that Baron Davis and Elton Brand have dreams of becoming hot-shot Hollywood filmmakers, the pair may have unknowingly written their first script. With all the drama that has ensued after Baron's unexpected opt out of a wealthy contract with the Golden State Warriors, one that would have paid him $17.8 million for the upcoming season, as well as Elton's opting out, which he says was done for the purposes of providing more cash towards bringing in championship-caliber talent to surround him, such as the aforementioned Davis, it's surprsing that this story hasn't been optioned off to a big studio yet. Simply put, Davis and Brand executed their storyline perfectly. There was an obvious conversation between the two players prior to the July 1st deadline for opting out, since Davis verbally-committed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers less than 24 hours after leaving the Ws. As for Brand, he told the Clippers front office that Davis was the guy he wanted to bring in to anchor a team that only won 23 games last season. Storyline running smoothly so far, right? But wait, there's more! What Brand didn't expect was a $90 million offer from, guess who, the team that B Diddy ditched: the Golden State Warriors. Oooh....the drama ensues.This move of revenge would definitely alter the Davis-Brand script and ultimatley leave Davis on a team with less talent than the team he left in the Warriors. But what if Brand, in a move that wouldn't surprise many people, decides to pass up on the money and team up with his Tinsel Town buddy as planned? If this were to happen, things would get a tad bit sticky for the Warriors. First, they would have to deal with the embarrasment of not carrying out "Operation Revenge" on B Diddy, thus enabling Davis and Brand to carry out their magical ending of playing together in Clipperland. Secondly, if they were to pursue a tampering lawsuit against the Clips, it would prove to be a difficult task since they too offerred a contract to Brand. Since Brand considered their offer, the whole tampering issue will be difficult to prove, thus enabling the protagonists of the script, Davis and Brand, to proclaim thier victory once they sign their wealthy contracts come July 9th. With that said, we must acknowledge a good script when we see one. For the most part, this script may be working out as planned. Let's just hope the actors live up to the hype.
