Boxing's March Madness: Kick Off This Saturday, Predictions

This Saturday, Devon Alexander and Juan Urango will kick off boxing’s version of March Madness.

There are many exciting fights to look forward to that will feature elite fighters like Manny Pacquiao, and potential superstars like Arthur Abraham and David Haye.

So without further to do, lets take a look at boxing’s upcoming fights and FFF’s official predictions.

Alexander vs. Urango

This should be a glorified sparing match for Devon Alexander; however, Juan Urango is tough as nails and will be there to give Alexander all he can handle. Nevertheless, Alexander is much faster, with better overall boxing skills that should give him a unanimous decision.

Pacquiao vs. Clottey

I’m envisioning a late knockout in favor of Pacquiao.

Don’t get me wrong, Clottey is very though and has never been knocked out.

However, he has never faced someone like Pacquiao and will be too much for him.

Klitschko vs. Chambers

I will take a gamble here and predict that Chambers will upset Klitschko.

Am I crazy? Perhaps!

And guess what, I am basing it on one sole factor; speed. Like every boxing guru says out there, speed kills!

Chambers, is much faster that Klitschko, who is known for his shaky chin.

Chambers by unanimous decision.

Abraham vs. Dirrell

Here is another upset in the making.

Call me crazy again but, like Chambers, Dirrell is much faster than the methodical Abraham.

I figure Abraham will let Dirrell cruise the first six rounds thinking he can break him down in the late rounds. However, Dirrell has fresh legs that will outlast Abraham in the late rounds along with his good boxing skills.

Haye vs. Ruiz

I can’t believe Ruiz is getting another shot at a championship. Anyways, Haye will cruise to a UD but I would be really impressed if he knocked him out.
