"The Ultimate Fighter: Liddel Vs Ortiz" Cast

A total of 28 middleweight competitors have been chosen to compete on the upcoming 11th season of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV's long-running reality series, "The Ultimate Fighter."

Spike TV has released the list of fighters competing to become the next Ultimate Fighter. The fighters range from young 21-year-olds, to veterans with more than 30 fights, so there is a lot of diversity.

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz have been chosen to coach this season.

As a lot of attention will be on Chuck and Tito during the season, the purpose of the show is to turn one of these fighters into the next contender in the UFC.

With this being a middleweight show, I find it to be a very good idea. The UFC is lacking competitiveness in its middleweight division, so giving these guys a shot can really boost the weight class.

Here are your 28 guys that will be competing on The Ultimate Fighter debut, on March 31:

RICH ATTONITO
Fighting out of: Deerfield Beach, FL/American Top Team
Record: 7-3
Age: 32

Attonito has been training with American Top Team since he moved to Florida in 2006. He is also the strength and conditioning coach of the UFC's own Luigi Fioravanti.

SETH BACZYNSKI
Fighting out of: Canyon, AZ/Apex MMA
Record: 11-5
Age: 28

Baczynski is the training partner of "TUF" alumni Santino DeFranco and Efrain Escudero at Apex MMA in Arizona.

CHARLES BLANCHARD
Fighting out of: Coconut Creek, FL/American Top Team
Record: 7-2
Age: 24

Now a jiu-jitsu brown belt, Blanchard was a two time All-State wrestler in high school.

JOSH BRYANT
Fighting out of: Tulsa, OK/Absolute Combat Alliance
Record: 10-0
Age: 29

Bryant is a member of the Absolute Combat Alliance in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has a perfect professional MMA record of 10-0.

CHRIS CAMOZZI
Fighting out of: Denver, CO/Gumm MMA
Record: 11-3
Age: 22

Camozzi is a freestyle fighter from Denver, Colorada. Two out of his three losses have come to former "TUF" participants, Jesse Forbes and Jesse Taylor.

BRENT COOPER
Fighting out of: Long Beach, CA/Team Oyama
Record: 5-1
Age: 31

Cooper is a devastating striker, with four of his five wins coming via TKO.

JACEN FLYNN

Two of Flynn's wins come from wins over UFC veterans Dennis Kang and Dean Lister.

JAMES HAMMORTREE

Former college linbacker Hammortree, left his football days behind to become a full time fire fighter in Ocala, Florida. Hammortree also was a college wrestler, and owns a 4-0 record, all four fights coming in 2009.

Henle trains at Big John McCarthy's MMA in Thousand Oaks, California. He speaks fluent Japanese.

The self proclaimed baddest man in Minnesota, Lynch owns a 6-0 professional MMA record, with no fights going to decision.

KRIS MCCRAY

Son of a military father, and raised in Germany, McCray moved to the U.S where he served 8 years for the U.S Army Reserve.

A Brazilian jiu-jitsu artist from Orem, Utah, McGee beat "TUF" runner up DeMarques Johnson in 2007 by submission.

Teammate of "TUF" alum Tom Lawlor at Jungle MMA, McKinney is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt.

KYLE NOKE

Noke, from Mooloolaba, Australia is the former bodyguard of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwan (obviously stingray defense wasn't in his resume). He currently trains at Jackson's MMA in New Mexico, and he defeated fellow Aussie and "TUF" alum George Sotiropoulos in 2005.

O'Donnell is from Milford, Ohio suffered his first loss to castmate Constantinos Philippou after winning 8 fights by submission.

NORMAN PARAISY

Age: 23

Paraisy was born and raised in Paris, France. He is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu artist who moved to the U.S to pursue MMA, and is now a member of the American Top Team camp.

COSTANTINOS PHILIPPOU

Age: 30

Philippou was a boxer with 3 professional bouts and more than 80 amateur fights on his record. He was born and raised in Greece, but now resides in New York and trains at the Serra-Longo camp.

GREG REBELLO

Age: 27

Rebello trains full time at Sityodtong USA in Massachusetts under Mark DellaGrote. Currently at peak physical condition, Rebello once tipped the scales at 300 pounds.

After a devastating knee injury that caused Nick Ring to miss three years of MMA, he returned in May 2009. In that time, Ring boxed professionally, and recorded a 4-1 record with 3 knockouts.

Thompson, aka "The Kool-Aid Man", is a Muy-Thai fighter from Marietta, Georgia. He splits his training between Team Khunpon and Roberto Traven BJJ.

Walker was born and raised in Texas, and is a full time fighter and instructor at Team Lutter. This past June, Walker lost to "TUF" protege Jesse Forbes.

A former U.S Navy officer, and now currently working full time as a corrections officer for Hillsborough County jail in Machester, New Hampshire. Weatherby splits his time training between two gyms: Renzo Gracie Academy and Mickey Wards Boxing Gym & Xtreme MMA.

JAMIE YAGER
Fighting out of: Los Angeles, CA/Kings MMA

Age: 25

Yager picked up training for MMA as a hobby and went straight to the professional ranks in February 2008 as a part of BET's "Iron Ring", where he defeated his opponent by TKO.

So there is your cast for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter. There seems to be a lot of experience and athletic guys there, so this season should be very interesting.
