My Favorite Moment From Vancouver: Canada's Women's Hockey Team Celebrates

It's really hard to pick from mountain of fantastic accomplishments and feats that the ladies and gentlemen from their respective countries pulled off, so honestly I'm not going to go that route.

Instead I'm going off-beat here.

My favorite moment was when Team Canada's Women's Hockey team was celebrating their gold medal.

Sure a lot of people complained that it was unsporting and so on and so on.

But those people are old and just wanted something to complain about.

However, I, who am not old, thought it was awesome!

And you know what the most awesomest (probably not a word) part was?  That fact that 18-year-old Marie-Philip Poulin was boozing it up with her legal-drinking-aged teammates (drinking age in British Columbia is 19).

Not only was she partying like a girl at a frat house, but she was tapping the Rockies with a Coors Light!

I'm sure there was plenty of Canadian beer available, but she choose the light version of the Banquet Beer. Obviously the girl has taste.

A close second was the fact that the athletes burned through nearly 100,000 condoms, that's about 14 per athlete, and if we're to assume (and believe me I am) that they were only shagging each other, that's about 28 per couple.

Oh, you kids!

Anyways, the games were fun, but I'm glad they're over so my prime-time television as well as the NHL can return.

Let's hope the IOC will stock up for London and for Pete's sake someone get Marie a Molson's.
