10 Signs You Are Addicted to Fantasy Baseball

Eric HowardFeb 28, 2010

Ok we get it.  You love fantasy baseball and everyone knows it.

Your mom knows it when she calls you and asks, "So how's that fancy baseball going."  Your girlfriend knows it when you tell her about how much of genius you are because you drafted Zack Greinke in the fifth round last year.

Then she tells you its over and says, "It's not me, it's you." So how can you know if you are an addict?  Here is a guide to help you figure it out.

After all, the first step to recovery is acknowledgement:

1.  You've watched an entire Pirates vs. Nationals game because you wanted to see if Matt Capps would get a save.
2.  During SportsCenter you have yelled the phrase, "He's on my team!"
3.  During the day, you daydream about Hanley Ramirez.
4.  You think about how your fantasy baseball career is empty without that elusive championship.
5.  You actually think that you could be a real Major League Baseball GM.
6.  How you begin every conversation with your friends: "So...who are you keeping?"
7.  Sometimes you can't sleep because your trade didn't pan out.
8.  You actually cried real tears when your first-round pick was put on the DL.
9.  When you run out of things to talk about, you talk about your fantasy baseball team.
10.  Without flinching you know what Joe Mauer's career batting average is against righties during day games during the month of July with a 2-2 count.
