The 2010 American League Home Run King Will Be…..

James BrownFeb 28, 2010

The baseball season is right around the corner and there is nothing better than watching the home runs fly out of the park in dramatic fashion. Every year I try to predict the player that will hit the most home runs for each league and today I will focus on the American League.

The player that will hit the most home runs this year in the American league is….

Alex Rodriquez

New York Yankees v. Chicago Cubs

Okay not really a sleeper of any sorts but I think this year could be one of the best in the career for A-rod. He has no more pressure on him. No pressure to win a ring, no pressure to play a different position and no pressure from his tabloid issues. He has protection in the lineup and he plays in a ballpark that welcomes long balls and turns fly balls into home runs. I project him to hit 54 this year and that will make him the leading home run hitter in the American league!
