The Game Of The Year In The ACC: Vasquez Scores 41
Greivis Vaquez scored 41 as the Maryland Terps defeated Virginia Tech, 104-100, in double overtime to raise their record to 21-7 and 11-3 in the ACC.
After the game was delayed for 3 hours because of a water main break, fans got their monies worth. Regulation ended 82-82, the first overtime finished 89-89, the second overtime ended 104-100 and the teams both scored nearly 70 points in the second half. The first half stood 37-31 in favor of Virgina Tech.
Milbourne and Dino Gregory started the scoring for the Terps in the first and second overtime, respectively, but it was Vasquez and Hayes that did most of damage down the strectch.

Vasqeuz scored a career high and Hayes sank the two free throws that sent the game into the second overtime, followed by three more free throws to help secure the win.
Sean Mosley had 17, Hayes finished with 12, Jordan Williams added 9 and Milbourne scored 8.
Virginia Tech was led by ACC leading scorer Malcolm Delaney with 27, Jeff Allen with 25, Dorenzo Hudson with 21 and Terrell Bell with 10.,
The a great game, it showed how importance every ACC game is. Both teams left everything out on the court.
The win leaves Maryland tied with 11 victories in the ACC with Duke, setting up a big showdown at the Comcast Center on March 3rd.
The loss was the first for the Hookies at home in 15 games. The defeat dropped Virginia Tech to 21-7 and 8-6 in the ACC.
