  • I absolutely love the matchup between Roy Nelson and Stefan Struve on the March 31st UFC Fight Night. Good matchmaking is truly an art and i think this one is beautiful. Roy is an enigma to me and Struve is incredibly entertaining.
  • While I love the co-main event, the headliner between Kenny Florian and Takanori Gomi is somewhat bothersome. Gomi is inclined to fighting in a ring and it's a really tough matchup for his first fight in the UFC. Also, I can only think of one time Gomi fought in the states and that didn't turn out well. It seems like another fight being stacked against a former Pride star. I wouldn't mind Gomi getting a smoother transition to a main event.
  • I can't stand the aspirin commercials that are repeatedly shown on espn's Friday Night Fights. When I'm ten beers deep and enjoying a good fight, the last thing I want to hear every three minutes is someone telling me they never thought they'd have a heart attack, but they did. A bit of a buzzkill.
  • On the other hand, I strangely love the Tecate commercials on Friday Night Fights. I have no idea what they're saying because i don't speak Spanish, but from what I can tell, the guy is placing a bet and then sees a picture of his mother in his wallet and decides to bet every dollar he has. Then he is shown smiling and drinking a beer at a bar. It's great!
  • Look how far the UFC heavyweight division has come. A couple years ago the top two heavyweights were Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski and there wasn't much else. Now, there is an endless amount of great matchups, including the upcoming Santos vs. Gonzaga fight and Mir vs. Carwin.
  • On the other hand, look how far the boxing heavyweight division has fallen. The top American heavyweight, Eddie Chambers, is fighting the heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko, on March 20th and it isn't being televised on American television. Not even PPV! HBO should have used the money they are spending on the pointless rematch between Ali Funeka and Joan Guzman to show the heavyweight champion of the world.
  • Am I the only one that thinks a fight between Zab Judah and Timothy Bradley would be really entertaining?
  • Pat Militech is great at commentating. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the fight professor and bringing in Frank Trigg to the Strikeforce commentating. I don't see why you can't have two fighters on the broadcast.
  • I wish good luck to James Kirkland on getting his career back on track when he gets out. I'm a huge Anne Wolfe fan and I wish her luck with all of her pupils.
  • Teddy Atlas needs to slow down on this Andre Ward being top ten pound for pound stuff. Not just yet.
  • I really enjoy watching Marvin Quintero and Antonio DeMarco. I hope they don't let recent set backs halt their careers. I'll be a fan no matter what.
  • The proposed match between Randy Couture and Rich Franklin makes perfect sense. I really would have a hard time picking the winner. Lets hope it happens.
  • Friday Night Fights was a really good show last night. Starting with a stiff test for Danny Garcia and finishing with an explosive battle between Antonio Escalante and Miguel Roman. I prefer when they just show two solid fights and not the pointless six round fights in between.
  • Great job by HBO to pick up the light heavyweight title fight between Tavoris Cloud and Glen Johnson. It should be a thriller.
  • If Brandon Vera offers no entertainment in his upcoming fight with Jon Jones, lets try not to involve him in anymore main events. The guy has talent, but for some reason after he took a year break from the UFC, he decided he won't risk not getting his full fifteen minutes of air time every fight.
  • Strikeforce should sign some of the talented fighters the UFC has dropped of recent, such as Jake Rosholt and Thales Leitas. I really dont understand why the UFC got rid of Rosholt in such a hurry. Din Thomas would be a good acquisition as well.
  • I wonder what the announcement Strikeforce is going to make on monday is.
