Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 2/24/10

Ryan LesterFeb 25, 2010

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Ryan Hollins and Damien Wilkins, Minnesota Timberwolves                                  Hollins had 18 points and Wilkins had 15. Neither contributed much elsewhere. Neither are good fantasy options.

Al Thornton, Washington Wizards
Thornton had 16 points and 11 rebounds taking over for Josh Howard. If your league slept on him, go ahead and grab him.

Rudy Fernandez, Portland Trail Blazers
Rudy had 17 points and seven rebounds last night. He’s very inconsistent.

Jarrett Jack, Toronto Raptors
Jack had 18 points and eight assists. He’s picked up his scoring the past three games.

Brandon Rush, Indiana Pacers
Rush had 21 points and seven rebounds. He’s also not consistent enough to count on.

Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls
Taj had 14 points and 11 rebounds. He’s really been a force picking up the slack for Joakim Noah.

Marcus Thornton, New Orleans Hornets
Marcus followed up his 37 point game with 25 on Wednesday night. He’s averaging 20 points in his last five games.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Milwaukee Bucks
Luc continues to pound the boards. He had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Chase Budinger, Houston Rockets
Chase had a modest game with 13 points and six rebounds. He’s averaging 12.8 points over his past five games and is a decent option in daily leagues.

Thabo Sefolsha, Oklahoma City Thunder
Thabo had 12 points and 13 rebounds. He typically doesn’t have outburst like this, so don’t worry about picking him up.

Robin Lopez, Phoenix Suns
Lopez had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds). He’s OK in daily leagues but doesn’t offer much upside since Amar’e didn’t get dealt.

Kyle Korver, Utah Jazz
Korver had 18 points including five three-pointers. He’s past his days of fantasy relevance.

Jason Maxiell, Detroit Pistons
Maxiell had 14 points and eight rebounds. He’s done nothing of late, so don’t sweat him.

Drew Gooden, Los Angeles Clippers
Gooden was a beast with 20 points and 13 rebounds. He should produce for the Clippers.
