Nicklas Bendtner: I Will Repay Wenger's Faith.

Mohamed Eldin MasriFeb 24, 2010

Nicklas Bendtner has declared that he will repay Arsene Wenger's faith in him.

Bendtner, who was out for three months due to injury has been vexing the Arsenal fans with his on-again, off-again performances, and despite the fact that Bendtner has been surrounded by a urbane group of individuals, the young Dane hasn't scored as many goals as was expected from him this season.

Yet, Bendtner has stated that he will do his utmost to reward Arsene Wenger's faith in him, when Wenger refused to buy a striker in January, despite the fans pleading with the Frenchman.

It's been a difficult year for the Dane, escaping death after a horrific car accident, and then getting injured in the game against Tottenham. But Bendtner will only consider looking at the bright side of life, and is hoping to help Arsenal win a trophy this season.

Bendtner was interviewed by Arsenal.com , and stated; "Yes and that's really important."

"All I have to do now is show him he made the right choice. I'm sure he has and I've got to show it on the pitch.

"It's difficult obviously being out, despite whoever else is out. It's difficult. Coming back for me was really important."

Despite the fact that Bendtner scored against Sunderland on Saturday, the goal had Eboue written all over it. He hasn't scored a truly impressive goal since the one he scored in the Gunners' impressive 6-2 victory against Blackburn.

Yet Bendtner will still fancy his chances in the coming matches, seeing how he is the only striker remaining in the squad.

Many people have criticized Bendtner's lack of goals, but that is to be understood seeing how most of the goals come from Arsenal's midfield, especially this season. Bandtner also has a talent for creating chances for himself, not to mention his exquisite first touch on the ball.

Despite Bendtner's finishing being quite poor lately, Bendtner has the chance to play an essential role for the Red and White army this season if he finds his from. The form that convinced Wenger to sign him in 2005, and perhaps helping them collect their first trophy in almost 5 years.

Bendtner should start repaying Wenger and the fan's faith next Saturday, in the crucial away game to Stoke at the Britannia stadium.
