This Year....it's The "Crimson" Room
The Crimson room. Under normal circumstances it's actually called the green room. You know, that room that Brady Quinn waited in for hours upon hours as he waited for his name to be called. This year with the NFL draft being held in prime time for the first time ever, as a Sooner, we couldn't be represented any better. There is a very real possibility that we'll see 4 Sooners getting their names called that night.
Sam Bradford - The kid is going to floor anyone who interviews him this weekend. His film is flawless, and most fail to realize that his two years of film are of him in his freshman and sophomore years. Can anyone imagine the numbers he puts up if he stays healthy for two more years in Norman?! If he throws well on the 25th, the Rams will have a big time decision to make.
Gerald McCoy - I'm not afraid to admit that Suh is an absolute beast. He's unbelievable. He forced Landry Jones into 5 pics, and almost sent Texas to Arizona. That being said, McCoy's work ethic is what is pushing him ahead right now. He has quickness and like the aforementioned Sam, he's intelligent.
Trent Williams - OK, I'm a little confused with this one. Sure, I'm as big a Sooner fan as there is, but Williams vastly underachieved this past season. He came in as the unquestioned leader of a very young and impressionable offensive line and failed miserably in that capacity. His performance the year before is what keeps him in this round. I do hope nothing but the best for him at the next level regardless my opinion of his performance this past season.
Jermaine Gresham - Never knew that he had a major knee injury in high school. That coupled with the one he suffered last summer raises serious question marks. Jermaine is a game breaker for sure, and incredibly difficult for a defense to match up with. If he can manage to stay healthy, his NFL career will be long and productive.
We'll be well represented on draft night this year in the first ever primetime draft. Hope all the little 8-16 year olds are home watching, hoping to one day be on that stage going on to their dream job as a former Oklahoma Sooner.
