98 MEGA Mock Munch: Suh solid at No. 1, McCoy at No. 2
The NFL Mock Draft Database weekly mock munch is complete. We munched 98 updated mock drafts together to come up with the Top 9 pick leaders. We munched together all Mock Drafts updated between 2/18/10 and 2/24/10, a total of 98 MOCKS, that is our BIGGEST weekly mock munch to date. This will give you the ultimate depiction of just what the Mocks drafts are projecting based on their gut, their analysis, their inside info, and their perception of each teams needs. Of course, this could all change next week because of this weekend's NFL Combine, so stay tuned, bookmark the Database, and keep an eye out for two things next week. First, look for our Mega weekly mock munch around WED or THUR next week. But before that, likely on MON or TUE since it is Combine weekend, we will do a 2 day munch of the MON and TUE mocks to see if we see any new trends resulting from the Combine.

Here are the current Database Stats:
Total Mocks: 295 Mocks
Updated in February: 189 Mocks
BRIEF COMMENTARY: We have been hearing alot about QB Sam Bradford going possibly No. 1 to the Rams. That changed a little this week with rumors spreading that the Rams may be interested in trades with Tampa Bay (Josh Johnson) or Washington (Jason Campbell). Our mock drafts still have DT Ndamukong Suh at No. 1 easily. DT Gerald McCoy is solidifying even more at No. 2. CB Joe Haden has become a CONSENSUS leader at No. 7. The No. 4 pick, the Washington Redskins, is between three players with Sam Bradford leading. Finally, the Raiders pick is all over the place with the leading pick only tallying 20%. Mock drafts don't pretend to know what the heck Al Davis will do.
The week goes kind of opposite of last week. Last week, only two of the Top spots saw plus percentage gains. Picks No 4 (Washington) and No. 5 (Kansas City) saw the biggest percentage gains. Only 2 of the Top 9 had % drops.
STOCK UP: Jason-Pierre Paul is popping up more and more in the Top 9 picks, most at No. 7. A sharp rise this week to OT Bryan Bulaga who is making a move for the leading spot at No. 9 with Buffalo, particularly if both QBs are off the board. OT Anthony Davis is the leader at No. 9, but also showing up in Top 5, a little at No. 4 with Washington. The big question out there is --- is Russell Okung still the top OT in the draft or has Anthony Davis taken over?
Now, on to the Munch Leader for the Top 9 Picks (to be a Database CONSENSUS PICK, 60% of the updated mocks must project that player at that pick): For a further breakdown of the 2nd and 3rd choices at each of the Top 9 slots, go to our FORUM Thread. Not only do we provide the leader breakdowns at the Top 9 spots, but also the % change form last week. This is quality stuff for you draftniks. 1st Pick: ST. LOUIS RAMS (CONSENSUS CHOICE)
DT Ndamukong Suh. Suh has been the Top pick here for most of the weeks we have updated the 2010 Database. This doesn't change this week as Suh is still pulling Consensus numbers. We are witnessing a drop in his percentage though, which is perplexing given the rumors of the Rams wishing to trade for a quarterback. That would tell me the Rams have no confidence in picking Bradford or Clausen at No. 1. But a few mocks changed their projection to either Bradford or Clausen. Puzzling. Suh has remained remarkably consistent in percentage of mocks projecting him here, usually between 64% and 72%. He falls this week from 72% last week to 65% this week. Keep an eye on Rams trade discussions. They have reported interest in Tampa Bay's QB Josh Johnson and Washington Redskins QB Jason Campbell. Suh is the best defensive player in this draft.
Trends: Suh falls slightly from 72% to 65%. Bradford and Clausen combined project at 31% for the Rams. CLICK READ BELOW AT BOTTOM FOR REST OF ARTICLE
