Way Too Early Season Predictions
Here's my Way Too Early Prediction
San Jose State/ Bryant-Denny Stadium
Analysis: This will be an warm up for the Tide. Maybe break in a few players and expect A.J. McCarron to get some snaps. This shouldn't be much of a sweat for Alabama. Though it will take awhile for the defense to settle in. So I give San Jose two field goals.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-45 San Jose-6
Penn State/ Bryant Denny Stadium
Analysis: Expect a Sold-Out crowd and much media attention. Joe Pa is coming to town and is bringing his Nittany Lions with him. This is the first major game for the tide. Its also a legendary battle against coaches. I just don't think that the Penn. State offense can run on all cylinders especially with Daryll Clark gone but Evan Royster shouldn't be a problem. A close game overall though.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-17 Penn State-10
Duke/ Durham N.C.
Analysis: This will be the first time that Alabama has gone against a David Clutcliffe team since he was at Tennessee. Duke is in the rebuilding process so this shouldn't be a problem either. Expect the defense to get a rest after a tough fought Penn State game. A.J. McCarron sees the field again in late third quarter.
Way Too Early Score: Bama- 35 Duke-3
Arkansas/ Fayetteville, Arkansas
Analysis: This game scares me. Returning starter Ryan Mallet comes back with a weaponry of recievers. Mallet has a rocket arm and not to mention he is 6'7! This game is even in Arkansas. They will give us a run for our money but the defense buckles down and wins the game.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-24 Arkansas-21
Florida/ Bryant-Denny Stadium
Analysis: Florida rolls in to Tuscaloosa Tebow-less. New quarterback John Brantley has a very bright future, but not tonight in Tuscaloosa. The crowd will distract him and expect some mistakes from the young quarterback. Gators won't be doing the Gator Chomp at all tonight.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-27 Florida-13
South Carolina/ Columbia, S.C.
Analysis: The 'Ole head ball coach is waiting in Columbia with his troops ready. He had a bye week before this game, well so did every other SEC team in 2010. But he will be well-prepared. I'm sure he has a few tricks up his sleeve but I also think he's going to be slamming his visor a couple of times too!
Way Too Early Score: Bama-13 S.C.-7
Ole Miss/ Bryant-Denny Stadium
Analysis: Ole Miss always brings the game down to the wire, but not this time. Without Jevan Snead and the versatile Dexter McCluster gone to the draft, Ole Miss just isn't the same. Offense won't be very effective for Houston Nutt. The Tide's will be though.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-31 Ole Miss-14
Tennessee/ Knoxville, Tenn.
Analysis: The only thing that scares me in this game is Bryce Brown and the crowd. The Vols won't be very good this year since good 'Ole Lane Kiffin left. Tennessee will keep it close but expect the Tide to pull away in the second half. No blocked field goal necessary this time
Way Too Early Score: Bama-27 Tenn-7
LSU/ Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Analysis: Death Valley isn't very pleasant at night. The crowd just gets electric. The tigers will be better this year, even with the Mad Hatter/Les Miles as coach. Jordan Jefferson comes back experienced and even has a good reciever named Rueben Randle.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-20 LSU-17
Georgia State/ Bryant-Denny Stadium
Analysis: Backups come in way early and get some experience.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-49 G.S.-14
Auburn/ Bryant-Denny Stadium
Analysis: After Chizik and the boys gave us a scare last year at Jordan-Hare, expect another one. Auburn brought in a top five recruiting class last year. Expect a close game. It may even go into the last possession.
Way Too Early Score: Bama-17 Auburn-14
The rest is Way Too Early to predict!
