Hulk Hogan and TNA Are On The Way To a Knockout
TNA wrestling has been referred to as "the little company that could". They have built a fanbase second only to the WWE and many would argue they have a superior product. They are the Rocky Balboa of Sports Entertainment companies and for the last few years TNA Wrestling has been in training for the big bout with Clubber Lang.
In many ways the story of TNA Wrestling runs parallel to the story of the Hulkster. A typical Heyday-Hogan rivalry had the immortal one pitted againts an unstoppable monster hell-bent on ending Hulkamania. And just when it looked like the Hulkster wasn't able to take any more punishment, he "hulked-up", gave the big boot, and dropped the leg for the three count.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Hogan has always been the "underdog" and Terry Bolea is no different. Some say he was over-rated. They say he couldn't "work". But do the critics remember when he superplexed the Big Boss Man off the top of a steel cage in May of 89? Can they deny that no wrestling fan has screamed louder than a die-hard hulkamaniac?
Critics of Bolea say he is in it for the money. He is addicted to the spotlight. But did they see the rub he gave Abyss? Many fans view abyss as a cheap Mick Foley Knock-off. Working with Hogan could just be what his character needs to take it to the next level.
By criticizing Hogan, these "smarks" are only sweetening this underdog story. Hogan is too old, he destroyed WCW, he yada yada yada. Hulkamaniacs never go away, and now they want to see Hulk Hogan and TNA run wild on the competition.
I am a thirty something year old self-confessed Hulkamaniac. I think I speak for many in my demographic when I say that I had lost all interest in wrestling until recently. Hogan is bringing us back Jack! Whether the critics like it or not!
Let's not forget February 5th 1988. The Main Event aired on NBC and was the highest rated TV wrestling segment in history.
It was the Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant rematch. I remember the edge of your seat excitement I felt as an 11 year old boy. Could hogan defeat the unstoppable giant a second time?
At a time when most "smarks" hadn't soiled there first diaper yet, 33 million of us tuned in to watch Hogan and Andre. We're the same fans that tuned in to watch Monday night wars. We're the fans who have been begging for something good to happen in wrestling. We are the fans tuning in now and there is a lot of us!
Can Hogan help TNA defeat the monster heal WWE? It's a classic wrestling storyline. It's Rocky Balboa vs Clubber Lang. As JR would say, "Business just picked up folks!".
