What Will The Rams Do?

Casey CrailFeb 22, 2010

The NFLs worse team last season, and once proudest franchise hosting the "Greatest Show on Turf" is in need of some major adjustments. Between their number one over all pick in the NFL Draft, and the possibility of signing a veteran quarterback such as Michael Vick, this is shaping up to be Extreme Makeover: St. Louis Rams Edition.

While everyone expects the Rams to take Ndamukong Suh, that is not for sure. While his career was made by a great game against Texas, the Rams may need to wait til the Combine to test the hype. The other man who is a possibility for the Rams is Texas DT Gerald McCoy. Whoever the Rams decide to draft will definitely take a lot of thought when dealing with a team with low talent and low potential.

The other issue at hand is that they need to make a decision about their QB position. There has been talks for months about them trading for Mike Vick or Jason Campbell. Personally I would go with Campbell because he is younger and has shown he has potential to be solid at the position. The man gets a bad rap for Washington's 4-12 season, but their offensive line was pathetic. Also, his entire football career including college has had coach changes. I do believe that the team will need to trade for a talented receiver such as Brandon Marshall. With their second round pick (no.32 overall) they may be able to get their hands on Marshall or maybe Arizona's Anquan Boldin.

This team will need talent all over the roster, which it does not have currently. I do believe that given a couple years, wise draft choices, and good trades the St. Louis Rams may become a decent team with a shot at the Wildcard spot or even the NFC West.
