2010 Free Agency Preveiw: Running Backs

Chester Taylor - Not expected to return to the Vikings. NFP thinks Chargers, Seahawks, Texans, Redskins, or Browns. The Vikings cannot afford his salary, and he will have chances to start elsewhere. Taylor is the complete package, he can catch, run, and block.
Kevin Faulk - If he decides not to retire, Faulk will provide the Patriots with the best pass catching running back in the NFL. Not only is Faulk a good pass catcher, he is also an underrated blocker.
Larry Johnson - I don't think Johnson will return to the Bengals, who seem perfectly fine with Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott. Johnson may find a home for a team like the Texans or Seahawks.
Willie Parker - Ever since Mendenhall has pushed Parker out of the starting lineup, nearly everyone knew that Parker would not return to the Steelers in 2010.
Tony Richardson - Richardson, 38, may decide to retire, but if he does not, the Jets will surely look to re-sign him.
Jamal Lewis - Lewis will only return if he can pass a physical, which he failed and was released by the Browns.
Chris Brown - Brown is not expected to return to Houston, where the Texans are expected to have a brand new backfield.
Ahmen Green - I expect that Green will retire, but you never know. He was more productive than the two players behind him in 2009, and he has a better chance of playing in 2010 than James has.
Adrian Peterson - Were Adrian Peterson available in free agency, he would be the top story of the off season. The only problem is, the Adrian Peterson listed as the eighth best free agent running back does not play for the Vikings.
Edgerrin James - Four years ago James was considered the top free agent in the league, now, he is the tenth best free agent running back. It is amazing how fast things turn on you.
