Premier League Week 27 Previews: Saturday's Matches

Everton vs. Manchester United

Everton came up big last weekend, beating Chelsea 2-1 to make the Blues’ title chase even harder. Good work primarily came through Louis Saha after his brace. Going against his former club, the Frenchman will certainly look to replicate the form that made him a star in the last fixture.

Manchester United come into this tie after a hard fought 3-2 win over AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League. Wayne Rooney scored a brace, along with Paul Scholes on a lucky bounce off the post. The English forward is in the form of his life and will certainly look to continue it when the Red Devils visit Goodison Park.

Expect Sir Alex Ferguson to send out an attacking-heavy lineup to see if he can get maximum points against David Moyes’s men.

Arsenal vs. Sunderland

Arsenal’s poor, schoolboy mistakes cost them both goals in their 2-1 loss to FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League. With title chances looking a little slim in the Premier League, Arsenal relied on the Champoins League. However, after the defeat, it will have surely hit the Gunner’s locker room hard.

Arsene Wenger will surely look to use the match against Sunderland as a way to turn things around. The Black Cats are doing quite poorly, but they have at least not been giving up maximum points. Expect another defensive effort from the visitors as the home side will look to get maximum points at the Emirates Stadium.

Wolverhampton vs. Chelsea

Wolverhampton Wanderers got a surprise win last time out, while Chelsea suffered a surprise loss. Despite controlling the majority of the game, Carlo Ancelotti’s men just could not find the back of the net and now face a harder path to the league’s trophy.

This season though, the Stamford Bridge side has shown no mercy against the lower half of the table’s teams. The Wolves will certainly look to prevent the Blues from getting maximum points in the weekend when the two sides lock horns, but our rational self tells us that Chelsea has it easy this weekend.
