Jamie McMurray rode his Daytona 500 win and whirlwind media tour into Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California on Friday and won the pole for Sunday’s Auto Club 500 at Auto Club Speedway in Southern California in his Bass Pro Shops Tracker Boats #1 car for EGR. McMurray’s lap of 39.18 @ 183.76 mph took the pole late in qualifying and earned him his first pole for 2010 and 4th overall matching his number of wins in Sprint Cup. Juan Pablo Montoya will start second as it is a all Earnhardt Ganassi front row for California.
