Dream Match: Traditional Survivor Series Match

It was stated that Survivor Series will no longer be a PPV of the WWE starting next year. They are going to rebrand the PPV because sales for the PPV is slowly dying. WWE actually killed the PPV because of its weak storyline and boring match ups, but whatever. Along with Summerslam, Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, The Survivor Series PPV is one of its oldest pay per views. Now they are going to kill a long standing tradition, just like the King of the Ring. So with this sad news, I began to look back at the historic PPV. The Undertaker debut as an intimidating force, the elimination chamber debut here as well and not to mention the dream team assembled each year.

So this week my dream match will be a traditional 5 on 5 traditional survivor series match. You really have no complaints when you see the line up of superstars each year. My dream match features one of 2009's winning team, Team Miz. At first you look at this team and think of "rookies", you have Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Shaemus and The Miz. All of them are fresh stars of WWE itching to make their mark. But look closely, you have mat technicians and powerhouses in a single team. So this team is really a team to beat. 

The team they are going against is the only team in the PPVs history to never have an elimination. In 2006, Team DX goes against Team Rated RKO and cleaned house. You have DX, The Hardys and CM Punk defeating Rated RKO, Mike Knox, Johnny Nitro and Gregory Helms. Now this is a dream team. The fact that no one got eliminated and they dominated the match all the way, it is clear to see that this team is the best ever.

I would like to this match but since Survivor Series will be sent to the back of the barn and be raped, I doubt this match will ever happen. Still I know wrestling fans will truly enjoy this match.

The Match:

The match will start with Sheamus and Matt Hardy. They brawl for a bit until Sheamus gets the upper hand and he beats Matt around. He tags Dolph Ziggler and they double team Matt. Matt would later counter Ziggler's irish whip and tag Shawn Micheals. He enters the ring and immediately delivers a Sweet Chin Music on Ziggler. Jack Swagger dash to attack Micheals but gets a Sweet Chin music too. Shawn, gaining big momentum, climbs the one of the turnbuckles. Miz would grab Micheals legs but Miz would be kicked in the head by Shawn causing him to fall on the floor. Shawn would deliver an elbow drop on Swagger. But Dolph, the legal man, tags Sheamus back in and Sheamus would deliver his pump kick on Micheals knocking Shawn out which allows Sheamus to get the pin. Shawn gets eliminated first. Jeff would attack Sheamus from behind and try to get an early pin but Sheamus would not only kick out, but would throw Jeff out of the ring. He gets double teamed on the outside by Miz and Swagger but would be saved by his brother and CM punk. Meanwhile in the ring, Triple H brawls with Sheamus, but Sheamus would get the upper hand. He positions H for his crucifix bomb until Jeff comes back to the ring and deliver a whisper in the wind, then Triple H would hit a pedigree. H would turn him over then Jeff would climb a turnbuckle and Matt would climb the opposite end and delivers an Event Omega (Leg drop from Matt and splash from Jeff). Jeff pins Sheamus and eliminates him. 

Four people on each team remains as Jeff battles with Ziggler. Jeff would gain the advantage and drops his leg on Ziggler's groin. Drew McIntyre would try to intervene but gets a twist of fate for his efforts. Jack tries too but receives a twist of fate too. Miz tries to hit Jeff with a chair but gets a twist of fate too. Jeff then tries to pin Dolph but he rolls out of the ring. While the referee is busy getting the other three opponents out of the ring, Jeff would come for Dolph on the outside but  Dolph would hit a chair oh Jeff's head and Zigzags Jeff on the concrete floor. Jeff fails to get back in the ring by 10 and gets eliminated. Triple H rushes to the ring and delivers a high knee and further put the beating on Ziggler. Triple H would tag out and Matt continues on beating up Ziggler. Ziggler would deliver a low blow on Matt when the referee is not looking, and he gets to tag Drew McIntyre. McIntyre and Matt would brawl. Matt Irish whips Drew on a turnbuckle and delivers a running cloth lines but Drew would counter it and Matt would hit his shoulder on a ring post. Drew would then deliver his DDT on Matt and pin him. Drew then looks at Triple H and taunts him to enter the ring. But CM Punk would come from behind and apply his anaconda vice. Drew would tap out and gets eliminated.

Now Team DX includes 2 superstars and Team Miz has 3. Miz would enter the ring for the first time and brawls with Punk. Miz delivers his reality check and tries to pin Punk but Triple H would break the pin. The referee and H would argue and Team Miz would work on Punk. Miz would then tag in Jack Swagger and Swagger would deliver his gut wrench power bomb on Punk. Ziggler would then blind tag Swagger much to Swaggers disdain. Ziggler would wait for Punk to get up and try to deliver his Zigzag but Punk counters with his GTS and pins Ziggler. Swagger would return to the ring and delivers a belly to belly over head suplex to the turnbuckle hanging CM Punk on the tree of woe. Miz and Swagger double teams Punk. Then Triple H would help Punk and would go after The Miz who gets thrown into the floor. While Triple H is busy with The Miz, CM Punk would put Swagger on his shoulders and attempts a GTS but Swagger would get out of it and delivers a gut wrench powerbomb and pins Punk eliminating him.

Triple H would realize it and goes back into the ring, but The Miz and Swagger would double team H. The Miz tags himslef into the match and tries to pin H but kicks out. He tries it again but Triple H is still too strong. So The Miz would deliver a skull crushing finale on H but Triple would counter it with a pedigree and pins The Miz. Triple H and Jack Swagger would then brawl.
