CFL Daily Dose: A New CFL Fan Website

Jonathan HamelinFeb 18, 2010

As everyone knows, we have a talented group of writers who contribute to Bleacher Report’s Canadian Football League section. This was evident when we temporarily ran our own magazine about the CFL. Due to the time constraints, the magazine has obviously been pushed aside, however, another opportunity has come up that is much simpler, yet promises to be a unique experience.

I wrote this article because I have recently started writing articles for the website http://www.cfldailydose.com/ and I would encourage the rest of Bleacher Report’s CFL writers to do the same.

Besides the CFL’s main website, and the league’s forums, there is not really a major CFL fan site where fans contribute the articles.

CFL Daily Dose is a site dedicated to bringing fans the latest news, commentary, and analysis on the CFL. The owner told me his goal is to have a paid staff with a writer for each team in the CFL.

While the site is in its premature stages, there is no doubt it will expand quickly with more writers.

Just check out the site, http://www.nfldailydose.com/ . This site is run by the creator of CFL Daily Dose and it appears to be quite successful.

Now, this article is not being written to try and take writers away from Bleacher Report, as writing for CFL Daily Dose does not restrict you from posting your articles elsewhere, but I feel that with enough writers we could really be a part of a great CFL fan website.

If you want to apply to write for the site, visit: http://www.cfldailydose.com/contact/#spamq . Type in your email, etc., and under the subject put “ask a question.”

I really feel that CFL Daily Dose could give us the chance to continue what we started with “Fans of the CFL” without having to put together a magazine.
