Mike Brown's Mix-and-Match Options: An Embarrassment of Riches

Let's assume, just for a minute, that by playoffs time the Cavs have Big Z back and all the currently injured players are healthy and ready to go.  Mike Brown will have so many pieces to the puzzle to play around with, it will be ridiculous the number of options he'll have.  Consider, below, some of the lineups he can field.  I list all lineups from the one position up to the five.

Standard starting lineup: Mo, Parker (or Delonte), LBJ, Jamison, Shaq.  How do four all-stars (two future hall-of-famers) and a top-ten three-point shooter grab you?

Want to go big?: LBJ (he's shown recently he can play the point with no problem), Moon (or Parker), Jamison, Z (or Andy V. if you want more boards), Shaq.

Want to play smallball?: Mo, Booby Gibson, Moon (or even Delonte), LBJ, Andy.

How about a shoot-the-lights-out squad?: Mo, Booby, Parker, LBJ (or Jamison), Z.

Want to put a defensive chokehold on the other team?: Delonte, Moon, LBJ, Andy, Shaq.

Want to go real athletic, a lineup where everyone can jump out of the gym?: Delonte, Moon, LBJ, Hickson (or Powe), Andy (can't jump, but very very active in the paint and on the boards, dives for loose balls, etc.)

Just about any problem the other team presents, Brown will be able to address.  Any weakness the other team might be trying to hide, Brown will be able to exploit.  There will still be games or quarters where LeBron will just take over and be the best player on the planet, but the rest of the time? 

Mike Brown gets to play NBA mix-and-match with options that most coaches can only dream of.
