Christian Loses ECW Title on Eve of Final ECW Show, NXT Thoughts
Last night, in WWE's final broadcast of ECW, Christian lost an Extreme rules match to lose the ECW title. The victory is a big move in the right direction for Jackson, and with Regal interfering. It does not take down Christian's standing in the WWE.
Overall, the show was lackluster and did not seem to have any extra flair for the final episode of one of WWE's brands. I was hoping for an appearance by someone who was in the original ECW, but my hopes were squashed.
Christian is now free to go to Smackdown and rise up to the main event level he has deserved since coming back to the WWE. His history with Edge makes for the possibility of some great storylines and matches.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Since Christian was rumored to be returning to the WWE, people have been begging for an Edge and Chirtsian reunion, while others have been hoping for a feud between the two storyline brothers. Sidenote: Does anyone know if WWE just stopped saying they were brothers or simply havent said it in awhile? It's confusing.
WWE focused heavily throughout the night on their new venture, WWE NXT. This is a reality show/live event where WWE veterans are paired up with rookies from ECW.
The thing I was most surprised to see is WWE's top acquisition from the past year, Bryan Danielson, was paired up with The Miz.
I like the Miz and all, but I thought the person WWE would most likely push right out of the gate would be paired up with a guy like Jericho or Christian. This could also be a push in some way for the Miz, since he could tout that his rookie did the best.
I am looking forward to NXT as a chance to see some of the ECW guys get their shot. I am sure WWE knows who they will be pushing the most, but if the show progresses well we could see some good talent come from this.
NXT is also a good way to expose rookies to the WWE audience before they get into the ring.
Overall, I am sad to see the death of ECW again, but I am hopeful that NXT will deliver where ECW didn't.
What do you think will be the outcome of WWE's experimental new show NXT?
