WEC 47 Weigh-Ins: Set To Take Part of the Arnold Classic Weekend
The WEC has decided to dive into the action of the Arnold Classic Fitness Expo held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on March 5-7.
Having attended the Arnold Classic myself the previous two years, I know first hand how much importance mixed martial arts plays into the event. Over 100,000 people attended the expo of fitness and martial arts in 2009.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship had occupied Nationwide Arena during the Expo the previous three years. This year will be a different experience as the UFC has passed their spot to Reed Harris and the WEC for WEC 47 on Saturday, March 6.
WEC 47 features Bantamweight Champion Brian Bowles taking on Dominick Cruz. Former Champion, Miguel Torres steps back into action against Joseph Benavidez in the co-main event of the night.
The weigh-ins are scheduled for: March 6, at 5 p.m. (ET) 2 p.m. (PT) at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
In addition, the WEC will be holding their standard Q&A and autograph session with the day including a Mixed Martial Arts workshop with UFC Hall of Famer: Randy Couture. Reed Harris and several fighters from the WEC will be on hand for a Meet and Greet that will coincide with the Fitness Expo as well.
