Florida State Throttles UNF 72-10
February 13th, 2010
The Seminoles' offense came to life on Saturday afternoon crossing over for 11 tries in a match that was decided early in the first half. Captain Kyle Klein and fly half Dylan Hamilton each scored three tries, while freshman wing Matt Donovan also scored in his First XV debut. The victory pushes the Seminoles record to 5-1 in the Florida Collegiate competition.
Senior scrum half Ryan Young (pictured) provided excellent service on the afternoon, effectively linking the forwards and back. Senior lock Alex Cherry was the stand out player in a forward pack that has performed well in recent weeks. FSU's Associate Coach Kirk Swanner had mixed feelings and summed up the effort after the game. "The boys implemented some of our patterns of play effectively today, but there is still plenty of work to do before the culmination of our season at the Florida Collegiate Championships in March".
