EPL Season So Far Review
We are past halfway in the EPL season this campaign. We are going to review each team’s performance so far, from best to worst.
Chelsea – Chelsea sit atop the table despite having an absurd amount of distractions. From the African Cup of Nations, to the John Terry scandal, Chelsea have pulled through nicely. However, I would watch out for some of the teams just below because Chelsea have been going up and down as you can see by their loss to Evertone 2-1.
Manchester United - Despite losing many of their best players and not playing well, Manchester United still seems to rise to the top of the table every season. This campaign they have had great injury woes at the back and have had a slew of unhappy players, including, Nemanja Vidic and Anderson. Just like every year, Manchester United will definitely be up in the table but with their financial trouble they may not be able to compete in the next couple of years so Man U fans should enjoy it now.

Arsenal – Arsenal had looked good in the beginning of the year, especially when I saw them play. However, according to Andrei Arshavin they don’t have the star power to match up with Chelsea or Man U , which I agree with. If they want to win the EPL, then they are going to have to improve, but if they are fine with just Champions League football then keep playing away.
Liverpool - Mystery team of the year. No one knows if they will fail or use their experience to conquer their other Champions League contenders. Only time will tell if they can rise to the occasion or if they will keep playing as badly as now.
Manchester City – Manchester City is the most intriguing team to me this year, not just because I am a supporter. After being bought by Sheikh Mansour, the trillion dollar man, they were able to do the same thing as all other top 4 clubs, buy the best players. With Manchester City being 8 points back with two games in hand, I believe that they have agood chance of making Champions League football.
Tottenham Hotspur –Spurs look to compete for the Champions League spot just like every year. ‘Arry Redknapp looks in perfect position to finally motivate player such as Jermaine Defoe to go from great players to World Class.
Aston Villa – Villa has looked sluggish of late, but there early season form rewarded them by keeping them in the race for Champions League contention. (VERY LITTLE CHANCE)
Birmingham – Birmingham is looking great, not allowing goals or losses to occur. Manager Alex McLeish looks to take them up into UEFA contention.
Everton – Everton started off the season absolutely atrociously but has gotten progressively better during the seaon. Now, they are having a great time defeating Chelsea and Manchester City in the past month. No where to go but up for this club.
Fulham - Fulham has many of my favorite American players and I got to watch them live this campaign. (3/4 of their fans were 60 or older and asleep by half) They have had to deal with a lot of injuries this year but Roy Hodgson looks ready to lead them to a high mid-table finish.
Blackburn Rovers – Just like every Big Sam team, they’re headed to a mid-table finish.
Stoke City – I am going to sum up Stoke in their fans only chant: “We only score from throw-ins.”
Sunderland – Sunderland has a great striking duo up front with two of the best strikers in the league , Kenwnye Jones and Darren Bent. They have a good manager with Steve Bruce but the rest of their team is average at best.
West Ham United – See Portsmouth / They still have the Financial trouble with a tiny bit better players.
Wolverhampton Wolves – See Portsmouth without financial problems.
Wigan Athletic – See Porstmouth without good manager but better players and less of financial problems.
Hull City – Surprisingly, even though Hull is so low in the table, I still believe that they have a lot of talent and could easily take the EPL by storm next year if they stop being such an up and down club.
Burnley - The loss of Coyle is huge but they have no talent compared to other Premier League teams and I see the last three teams currently in the table definitely being relegated.
Bolton Wanderers - Coyle is a great addition as manager for the club , but I don’t see any way they avoid relagation.
Portsmouth – Financial Trouble + Bad Players + Good Coach = Only F.A. Cup left
