Who Do You Think Will Be Inducted In The HOF This Year

I am pleased to see that Ted Dibiase will be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame this year. He is one of the most charismatic wrestlers and greatest heels in the WWF's history. In addition it has been confirmed the Antonio Inoki will also be inducted as well. It was also reported on B/R that Bruno Sammartino yet again has refused induction in the HOF as well as the Honky Tonk Man, which is a shame.

One thing is for certain this year. "The Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior won't be inducted this year due to their real life differences with Vince McMahon. I still believe for the credibility of the HOF that these two should be inducted in the near future, in particular Randy Savage.

I would expect the next people to be inducted into the HOF would be the rest of the Hart Family, which include Stu Hart, Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart. In recent years we have seen a common trend in HOF inductions. There has been at least one former tag team or family inducted in the past few years. What further supports this is Bret Hart's recent role with the company.

The Fabulous Freebirds: While their run as a team in the WWF was brief, they are one of the most popular tag teams of all time. Having said that, the WWE has had a tendency to induct wrestlers who achieved most of their success outside of the company. They were responsible for the 'Freebird Rule' being created, won numerous tag titles across various promotions and Michael Hayes has a big role in the company.

Bob Backlund: He is due to be inducted some time soon. He is a former 2 time WWF champion and former tag team champion. He has also had a number of runs with the company and I don't believe he's on bad terms with McMahon.

Davey Boy Smith: Again he had strong ties with the Hart Family and I believe they will play a strong part in this year's HOF. He won a number of championships in the WWF and was an accomplished singles and tag team star. Having his son in the company might also boost his chances as well.

Jake Roberts: Another that has continued to be overlooked by the company. Maybe it might be his time this year. He was one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWF and pioneer of the DDT. His past problems may hinder his chances but nevertheless should be considered a possibility to be inducted this year.
