Young Comes In Handy: Clemson Get Much Needed ACC Victory
Clemson got a much needed victory over Florida State on Wednesday by a score of 77-67.
Clemson and Florida State are now both 17-7 overall and 5-5 in the ACC.
Andre Young and David Potter each had career highs of 19 points, while Devin Booker had 14 and Trevor Booker added 13.

Clemson jumped out to an early 9-0 lead sparked by a David Potter 3 pointer, and a dunk each by Trevor Booker and Jerai Grant.
Florida State battled back to make the score 9-8, before Potter hit another 3 pointer and Clemson increased their lead to 17-10. At the 3:55 mark the score stood 19-16 in favor of Clemson.
Early on this was a game that had more fouls then field goals, 11 baskets to 19 fouls at the 3:13 mark in the first half.
Clemson's Andre Young hit back to back 3 pointers and the Tigers lead swelled to 25-18. Potter hit a 3 point at the buzzer at half time on a great pass from Young, to make the score 37-24. Clemson shot 54% for the half. If their was a Player of the Game for the first half it would go to Young.
Clemson continued to play solid defense and at the 14:51 mark of second half the score stood 49-35.
Florida State narrowed the gap to 9 at the 11:55.
However, Young's play continued to inspire his team and Clemson increased their lead to 58-46 with 6:53 left in the game.
Clemson hit some key free throws down the stress and the Tigers held on for the victory.
Luke Loucks had a team high for Florida State with 15, Alabi Solomon had 14 and Michael Sneer finished with 10.
