Manchester United,Chelsea Drop Points: Arsenal Gets A Break
It was without a doubt the luckiest escape for Arsenal this season and the break they were waiting for.
Arsenal scraped their way to a victory against Liverpool, while Chelsea and Manchester United dropped points against Everton and Aston Villa, respectively.
The game started in a cold manner, something that worried all the Arsenal fans, especially when the Gunners wasted their few chances—almost paying for it.

The things that affected the game included Clichy's consistency, closing all the chances Liverpool had from the left side of the field, and the pressure applied by the Gunners throughout.
However, Arsenal wasted chances that raised many eyebrows, most notably Rosicky's one-on-one chance against Reina, where he gave the ball freely to the Spaniard.
Bendtner also wasted his chance when he shot high and wide, and also tried to dive for a penalty. Even though there was minimal contact, Howard Webb gave the Dane a yellow card.
Later, Arsenal finally had the goal they were hoping for, a great pass from Bendtner to Rosicky. He crossed the ball beautifully for Abou Diaby to score the winning goal with a lovely header.
Liverpool applied the pressure, and Ryan Babel almost scored with a long range shot, which Almunia barely deflected, and even then, the ball still hit the crossbar to go out for a corner.
In the dying minutes, Gerrard made two dives: one was awarded as a foul despite the fact that it was a cheap dive from the Liverpool captain.
However, justice was served when Gerrard shot the ball, and it hit Fabregas' arm; however, Howard Webb didn't see the ball hitting the Spaniard.
In the end, Arsenal were lucky. Had they been playing against Chelsea, they would've payed the price heavily, mainly due to the Gunners many mistakes throughout the game.
Defensively, Vermaelen was composed and consistent, and Gallas was brilliant, saving a ball that was almost destined to get in the back of the net.
A one-on-one chance for N'gog, but just when he pulled the trigger, Gallas slided from behind and blocked the shot.
Offensively, Arsenal were disappointing.
Many passes were intercepted, most notably from the Arsenal captain. Fabregas did not look like he was enjoying his football today—one would think that all the press talk is pressuring his performance.
Arsenal also wasted the few chances they made, and they almost paid the price.
However, despite stating their intentions to play on the counter attacks, Liverpool could not play as Chelsea and Manchester United.
In the end, Arsenal got the three points, and after many mistakes, there is also suspicion that Nasri and Arshavin might be injured.
Arsenal might still have a few missing players in the squad.
Meanwhile, Chelsea lost to Everton at Goodison Park by two goals scored by Louis Saha, and Manchester United got a draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Arsenal have closed the gap to six points between them and the current leaders Chelsea. There are five points between them and second place Manchester United.
Arsenal are finally back to winning ways, after four terrible games.
The Gunners are finally back to winning ways. And maybe, they are now back in the quest for the title race.
