Like pieces on a chess board the 2010 Rutger secondary will offer coach Schiano a very deep and adaptable array of athletic weaponry. One such weapon is CB Brandon Bing...

This former track star from Wyncote PA, is among the fastest players on the team, however due to his diminutive size, 5 feet 11 @ 165 he's far too SMALL to "START" at either CB position. In spite of this, there's a place in the secondary where his speed skills can be utilized by coach Schiano, in Nickle and Dime zone blitz packages!

Inserting Brandon into the secondary as a Nickle or Dime back, then blitzing him off the corner would create havoc for opposing QB's as very few of them can outrun the track star.

Brandon's speed can be most effective in Nickle sets such as the "3-3-5" or "2-4-5" where he can fire off the corner and be ontop of the QB in a flash. Coach Schiano can also utilize Brandon's speed from a DIME-SET in particular the "Dime-strong-eagle-slant-3".  This powerful zone-blitz scheme attacks the strong-side with both the OLB and CB. While the OLB occupies either the TE or FB, Brandon (The CB) has a clear path to the QB with his blinding speed.  

Brandon can also be used at punt return, however he will need plenty of off-season practice at this position to avoid and correct any habitual fumblng issues.
