EPIC NFL Thanksgiving Slate 🙌

Bleacher ReportJun 30, 2008
It's that dead time of year between minicamp and training camp. While there's not a lot going on in the world of the Packers, there's been a few noteworthy items over the last week or so. Here's your serving of links:
- The Packers were one of four NFL teams to attend a workout for free agent running back Kevin Jones.
- ESPN's Kevin Seifert expects the Packers linebacking corps to blitz more often than they have in the past. Nearly 90 percent of their sacks last year came from defensive lineman. Nick Barnett, A.J. Hawk, Brady Poppinga and Brandon Chillar should get into the action more often than in years past (hat tip: JSonline).
- Packers head coach Mike McCarthy lets the media in on a glimpse into his private, married life to the former Jessica Kress. Both the Green Bay Press-Gazette and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel get the inside scoop. USA Today sticks to football in an aricle about McCarthy (h/t: packergeeks).
- There's still plenty of tickets availble for Family Night being held at Lambeau Field on a Sunday night in early August.
- FOX's Adam Schien thinks the Packers shouldn't be put off by Jason Taylor supposedly not wanting to come to Green Bay. He also thinks adding Taylor would make the Packers Super Bowl contenders (h/t: JSonline).
- The Minnesota Vikings are requiring that fans wanting to buy tickets for the regular season game versus the Packers also buy tickets to a preseason game as well.
- The intruders breaking into running back Noah Herron's house have officially been charged.
